All of our Aston engines are bored and honed through "torque plates".
Fitting a torque plate replicates the forces which act on the cylinder liners when clamping down the cylinder head. These forces distort the cylinder bores and on a typical 4.2 litre Aston engine this distortion is around .0025" / .0035".
